I didn't even cry!

That is very good advice, but I got a dozen Cornish crosses and 21 DP chicks two weeks ago, banking on all I had heard about the CX being ugly, dirty and stinky, not a bird you would get attached to. Well, my dozen are none of that, they are very personable and the most friendly of all the peeps. I have them in separate brooders, and they are no dirtier or stinkier than the DP chicks.

They are doing all kinds of things I didn't expect, like flying out of the brooder. I thought all they did was belly up to the feeder and eat until their legs wouldn't hold them. They are being fed Countryside Organic feed and I am giving them Broiler Max in their water, and they have very strong legs. I'm really bummed. I am finding it impossible not to get attached because they are so sweet and cute.

I didn't want to like them, doggonit!
