I have been banned from the feed stores for the next month. My bf went and bought enough feed to last us probably 2 months so he said I had no reason to even step foot in a feed store. HA HA HA, jokes on him, I need to buy some seeds............and guess what, there is a feed store accross the street from where I work and I am gonna stop there today. He told me I have enough chicks as it is. I have 42 eggs in the bator due on march 20th and we are setting 41 more tonight in our other bator and we kept 4 from the last hatch we did and they will be 2 weeks on Saturday.

Permission? What is that? DH made the mistake a long time ago of saying he didn't mind me adding more animals like chickens because they at least somewhat contribute back. Plus, he really doesn't know how many chickens we have anyways! I got 26 chicks in this morning and he said, "So how many is in there, like 10?" My response- "Wow honey, you are a great guesser, that's exactly how many there are!" It's not like he will ever count... I also forgot to mention to him that there may also be 2 ducks and 3 other chicks downstairs in the brooder already. I'm sure he won't notice

Do most standard breeds and bantams get along socially?.....Maybe the Ol' Lady wouldnt notice if there are a "few" little birds mixed in with the posse!!!! What are we talking here....half the size of my standard breeds?

OB, RSL, BSL, SLW, Delaware, EE.....maybe a few more?
