Hello Tim, welcome to back yard chickens. Now you went from 3 grown hens to 27 chicks. I would say that chicken math sure hit you. You will love the chicks as much if not more then the hens you had. Remember hands on so they will be extra friendly. I bet the kids were so happy to get the chicks. I can now see you in the coop with them sitting down and them running all around and over you.

I got the Little Giant automatic waterer installed this weekend. The girls took to it immediately. The installation was a snap. I highly recommend it.

Hi there Tim,

I am glad they had no problems with their new watering system. It looks great. Mine will be a month old tomorrow and boy have they gotten big. I think I have a few roosters in the bunch that I will have to find new homes for. But I should know soon as the combs turn red and they get waddles. WE are not allowed to have roosters here so hopefully someone will get a tame rooster and will love him as much as I do.
