I do not like some people on craigslist

I have been buying and selling on our local C.L for a long time now. It's just a toss up between whether or not 'something' came up and you should give her the benefit of the doubt, or she totally wrote you off. The majority of people on C.L are very cut throat and treat it as a business dealing. I would try contacting her one more time, maybe Tues or Wed and if she does not reply then you unfortunately have been written off or they've been sold .

I'm sorry, but threatening to go to someone else is an instant write off as a potential seller.

I just sent her a email apologizing about my email. But I still think I said what I had to.

You said what you had to, but may have lost the purchase of the birds. I'm just saying...others will be more than happy to purchase the birds and are patient so having one person threaten to move on is honestly not that much of an issue.

I'm not saying that writing you off is a good move on her part, but threatening is never dealt with kindly with me.

I wasn't trying to threat her. I was just telling her that she can respond or I am going to someone else.

And if you had said that to me I would have said, "Okay, if that's what you want to do feel free", and that would very much be the end of that. The Devil would be ice skating before I sold you anything.

Rule 10,272,316 in The Book Of Life is, "Never issue an ultimatum unless you mean it. Expect to have to carry it out if you do".

But he did mean it. The message was basically "I would love to buy from you, but if I don't hear from you within five days I will have to buy from someone else." That's not a threat; it's just a statement of fact. She said she would be in contact the next day and then failed to do so-- unless she had a very good reason, that makes her the rude one in this scenario to me.
