But he did mean it. The message was basically "I would love to buy from you, but if I don't hear from you within five days I will have to buy from someone else." That's not a threat; it's just a statement of fact. She said she would be in contact the next day and then failed to do so-- unless she had a very good reason, that makes her the rude one in this scenario to me.
Thank you for backing me up. Don't make a smart remark to me RedStarDaddy!!!!!
Max, RESPECT that comment. If I remember correctly, you aren't that old yourself and you should appreciate a lesson of life. You are no expert, so it is best not to be cocky. You still have a lot to learn.
With that said, you did threaten the lady, in a way. The kind of threat you are thinking of may be physically, but the way you did threaten was her through her business. Many things could have happened to not allow her to contact you, or like someone suggest, she may be on vacation somewhere for Labor Day weekend. Even if she is ignoring you or refusing to respond, she doesn't HAVE to sell them to you. Infact, should could have sold them already and is purposely avoiding you to avoid conflict. There are many possibilities.
I myself have been stood up before. Back when I had my extra Silkie roosters, I had a friend of our give my number to a lady who had Silkies. She was a breeder, and like most breeders, very serious. I described the birds to her and we set up a date for her to come look at them. Needless to say, she didn't show. No phone call, no nothing. I let it go and eventually found homes for them.
Lesson here? Forgive, forget, and move on. There are plenty for chances elsewhere.
