I don’t have a heat lamp…how can I keep my newly hatched chicks warm???

You shouldn’t have chicks if you don’t have the supplies to keep them alive. In the future, do not purchase/obtain chicks unless you can actually care for them.

I would follow the recommendations other members gave you.

You've kept your chicks alive for 5 days at 70 something degrees...right?

Heat is overrated. They will be just fine at 70 something degrees at a week old.
I know right?I searched on google and it said they will be fine and a heat lamp is not necessary at all,I mean they have had no problems for five days and we raised 2 other flocks by keeping them in that temperature in their first week,so I think they will be just fine.

I have raised 2 other flocks with no heat lamp and they are almost all alive until now,and it’s not my fault we have bad electricity.

Still. It’s not a good idea to take on chicks without the supplies you need.
Will a cloth tent help?they snuggle in it and I forgot to mention that I have a 3 week old chick that is with them and they all snuggle under her will that help too???

I think that would help.
Oh Im so glad, and by the way I convinced my parents to buy a new heat lamp next time we visit a vet so I hope they agree, and I have a heat lamp at my home but right now I’m not home and that’s why I don’t have a heat lamp,in my hometown we have electricity so yeah I hope I will keep them warm until I get back to my home

Heat lamps are overrated and I would never be caught dead with using a heat lamp for my chicks.
A regular old school light bulb is a different story.
I use a light bulb.
But I also firmly believe you do not need to keep chicks at 90 or 95° ever.
I can successfully raise brand new hatched chicks at much lower temperatures than 90° and not have any problems.

I don't think I would keep them at 60° but 75 or 80 Yes and I wouldn't think twice about it.
