I don’t want my chicken to die :( can’t use legs

Aside from deficiency, you can read up on Marek's recovery cases. Some birds do recover and learn to walk again. I do remember someone talking about water therapy with their chicken, working their legs.

My general rule is as long as the animal is eating, drinking, and can pass waste material without seeming to be in a lot of pain, then I'm willing to ride it out. However you also have to factor in time. Are you able to sleep through the night or do you have to check on her every few hours? Because the second wouldn't be sustainable for very long.

It is good to decide where the line is and stick to it.

Hello and thank you. I am able to sleep. I feed her and give her water 3 times a day. I am going to try that high dosage of riboflavin as a last ditch effort as she is starting to not eat as much now. :(

OK I’ve ordered it. Thought I could pick one up from the pharmacy but they didn’t have any 🙁 I think this will have to be the last thing I try. Do you know how long it will take to see if it’s working at all?
It can take anywhere between a few weeks to a month, or so depending on the severity to cure it.

That long to see if it’s working or being fully healed? She is pushing with her legs now not sure if that is a sign. I’ve been breaking apart the b2 capsule and adding into her food.
I went ahead and canceled our Labor Day weekend vacation. Should I add something to my other 3 mo old pullets feed? They seem fine? I didn’t see any bullying from them that kept Puff from her food so I’m not sure what happened.

She'd get better dosing if you give the entire thing in her beak.
Yes, it can take that long to cure. I've dealt with it twice now. I still have one hen that's recovering from b2 deficiency, just starting to regain use of her toes, & shank.
