I don't have an incubator, but hope to hatch a couple ducklings.

When are you getting the incubator?

4 days is not bad. I store my eggs at room temperature but here it is 60-75 degrees
A bator was ordered yesterday!! Should arrive tomorrow if all goes well with the delivery. I have candles the egg 1 time yesterday and today it seems healthy but I am not experienced with that kinda stuff.

Some pictures if the little one hatches!
Definitely gonna get those LOL. There's gonna be at least 2 other eggs with it so it will have buddies if it hatches. After day 10 of incubation I think we will really find out if it'll work.

Next candleing Will get a photo of the egg. I can't tell if the air cell looks any good. I initially kept the egg on its side, but have put it pointy end down now. The carton seems to be keeping some humidity in it I would believe.

Have a lot of eggs to choose from for hatching buddies. Hope I never accidentally pick a egg from any of the drakes daughters or sisters.

Got up at 6:00 AM only for the ducks to lay their eggs a few minutes before I get out there. So now I can't tell who's egg is who's.:barnie
Not sure Angelina's egg is even any good. Gonna candle it as best I can and take photos of it. The others are gonna be dated on day of lay.
Hoping the egg that's started all this is good
enough. Don't think so rn.:barnie:jumpy

I don’t think you can really tell anything with candling at this point. Just put it in the incubator ASAP and hope for the best

I wiped the incubator with a moist cloth. Have it running now and am gonna do some more little tests with it. Then I will ready to set the eggs. Would it be wise to clean the egg with proper egg sanitizer stuff?
I am so anxious about the dirtiness of the egg. It looked okay when I candles it earlier this morning.

Have 4 eggs from the other ducks to incubate with angelina's.
Will give some more updates soon hopefully. Hoping for good news! If this doesn't work I will be content with the learning I have and will get from this.

Angelina's egg. I candled it at 3:38 PM today, it's a bit dirty but seems healthy for incubation, to my untrained eye. Not the best photos.

One of the other eggs laid today. Not sure who laid it.

Hope the photos load properly.

Dry hatch or not to dry hatch? I am super conflicted. And don't know just yet, enough about either. I am thinking of no dry hatch, as I have heard more about wet incubation before.
I am giving the bator more time to run and stuff, then after I decide on incubation methods will set the eggs.
