I don't have an incubator, but hope to hatch a couple ducklings.

I just read that high altitude can affect incubation, high altitude here... The incubator is gonna need some close monitoring I guess, naturally? I am possibly just over thinking but this is so hard!
I am gonna write some important temp and RH numbers and such down and put it near the incubator so I don't mis-remember anything.

Really peeved that this incubator hardly has any ventilation. Here soon I am probably going to set the eggs, five in total. Angelina's egg looks almost identical to the others when candled. Once the eggs are in the incubator I will pay close attention to its temps, as it's only been up and running for a few hours. It's auto Turner works and has done its job a once already. I have test turned a few times as well.

Forgot to show photos of the incubator. Here they are, it has a Styrofoam cover. Which I currently have on seeing how it affects temps.

I put the eggs in at around 10:00 PM last night. I didn't realize the water tower definitely wouldn't be needed so I had fun with getting RH suitable. I didn't have time to calibrate any of my hygrometers or Thermometers but the incubator is saying temps are at 37.7-38.0 °C and my 2 temp and humidity things in the incubator are staying around 56-60 RH (after I got most of the water I could out) and one of the things is often saying temps are 98.7°F and the other is 97.8°F. I cant seem to adjust the incubator either. It had very sad instructions when it came to that.

Starting think that other one I was looking at would have been better, but this one had better reviews, tho I think it was the other version I bet.

This incubator has no ventilation on the lid, the only thing that could count is the spot for the water tower to attach, I have it disconnected from it, as it's not needed. I am leaving the incubator lid in touched today as I am pretty sure I am not supposed to mess with it much the first few days?

98 and 97 °F around there should be okay, right? I am not sure how accurate the things are either. The egg Turner is working, turns every 2 hours.

That hole is for the water tower to connect to, but don't need the water tower and if I need humidity I am thinking I will just use a paper towel and other things.

I have been confused about this, what is the egg turning like on the first few days? Do I let them be auto turned? Do I manually do it? What's the better thing to do, I can never find a clear answer.

I took one of the hygrometers out to see if it gets the rest of the rooms temp and humidity correct. When I am done with that one I am gonna test the other one.

i don’t know anything about hatching but I’m following along! Have you looked in the learning center? They have articles about hatching.
I have been and keep doing so much reading, it's hard to take it all in.
I need to check that out again tho. I am struggling with temp in the incubator rn it's either the hygrometers are a little off or the bator is not as warm as it should be, at least where the hygrometers are at. Ambient temp in the room it's in, is 70 °F with RH of 44 %

I have a fish tank thermo and have heard fish tank thermos are really treatable, but how do I put it in the incubator? I really don't like that according to the other thermos in my incubator are saying temps are 98.7-97.8 °F I want it in the 99.0 range at the very least. The incubator is saying it's higher, I think. I am a little unsure of how this incubator works in that aspect.

I don't wanna worry that the eggs are not warm enough the whole day.
