I don't have the "toolbar" when posting - anyone else having that problem?

I can't add smilies, or pictures, or format stuff because my toolbar is missing. Anyone else having that problem? I think one other person I was on a thread with earlier didn't have it, but it might be back on hers now. I was going to add a screenshot, but...I guess I can't, since I can't post pictures. :/

I can't even start new paragraphs - it just smooshes all the text together (this sentence should be separated by a whole blank line from the first several sentences).

Also, when I try to quote someone, it presents the quote in HTML format in my editing window instead of the "normal" pre-formatted text.

I've logged out and back in, and also closed and reopened my browser. (Insert "huh?" smilie here) Help!

I also can't "hover" and get preview on threads, or hover over "forum" and get the pop-down window to show up. Hmm....

Thanks for the note. I've looked into your accounts and there isn't anything at the account level that would be causing this problem. Here are a few questions that will help us find, duplicate, and hopefully resolve the problem:

• How long has it been happening?
• Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
• Have you logged out, deleted your internet cache / browser history of files, logged back in, and tried again?
• Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Firefox or Chrome)?

Hi Nifty! Sorry I haven't replied back to this post in a couple days. Yesterday my toolbar was back. If I remember right, when I opened BYC on our other desktop computer, my toolbar was there, and then when I went back to my laptop it was still gone. However, a few hours later my toolbar was back on my laptop, too. (Although I'm not absolutely positive - it might have been back right away on my laptop after it was there on the desktop). So I hope I have it for good!

But here are the answers to your questions, in case this can help other BYC'ers.

- Safari 5.1.5
- Did log out and then back in, but I didn't delete my cache. When I just logged out/in, it didn't help.
- Didn't try another browser, either. That would have been smart!

Not sure exactly how long, 2-3 days it's been happening. Logged of and back on no effect. Deleted history, cache etc with no effect. I just installed Chrome to test and I have my toolbar back with it. Using IE9 it does not. Just noticed the little arrow to collapse the toolbar is not there either. Also noticed when you click your cursor on the box to edit something you typed you cannot see the little line either till you start typing. The drop down menu on the forums tab has stopped working also. Just trying to give you all the stuff I've noticed.

Please keep them coming if you notice you're having a problem. We need all the info requested above, but especially need the browser version and when things started and if you've tried another browser.
