I don't know what to do

Hey there TherryChicken

I am so sorry that you are going through this :hugs

I recently had a health scare myself and ended up in hospital for a week.  Your system sounds very different to ours in that I could not fault the care and attention the hospital staff provided to the point that when I wanted to go home they would not let me until they had definitely ruled out a few things.

I do not know about your Medicare rules and regulations but it sounds to me like the Hypocratic Oath and Duty of Care are not being followed in your case.

The Patient’s Bill of Rights states “The patient has the right to expect reasonable continuity of care and to be informed by physicians and other caregivers of available and realistic patient care options when hospital care is no longer appropriate”.

You do not sound well .. if it was me, I would present back at the hospital, with someone for support and refuse to leave or be discharged until your symptoms were at least under control.

Thank you, sadly I guess that doesn't regard medicaid patience. I'm tired of going to the hospital. It causes lots of panic attacks. I have severe anxiety and no more meds. It's very hard for me to get out and I DONT, so for me to show up to the doctors should be enough to say, I'm not well. We are trying hard to find someone else to take me or find cancellations. I wish my other dr could take me, but he doesn't accept medicaid. I'm so frustrated. I really don't know what to do. I feel like I've tried everything.. I've even gotten on the phone to talk with the drs and I HATE getting on the phone, it as well causes anxiety attacks.

I know Medicaid varies from state to state, so not sure if this is available to you....

Are your benefits under a managed care plan? Like an HMO, etc? Or you an Open Card?

If you're under a managed care plan, there should be a nurse on call, like a phone triage line. That would be a starting place. Work with your plan to see if you can be seen sooner. Or, at least get on their radar as someone who is currently undiagnosed and having issues.

The ER can only do so much. They're more of a "patch and be sure you're not going to die in the next few days" type of thing, not a "do a lot of diagnostic tests and figure out what's going on" type of thing.

Your insurance doesn't want you going to the ER all the time, either. They should be able to smooth the way to get you in to see a provider. Maybe not your doctor, you might have to change, but sounds like your current doc isn't all over things like they should be anyway. Maybe fresh eyes would be a good thing.

Sadly we've done that many times

Well not much was done, got more blood work, have to go back and be tested for H. Pylory. Also have to go get an X-ray and go get tested for Gastritis

Hey there TherryChicken I feel your frustration but hopefully, following the tests, you may get a diagnosis. You are further down the track than you were previously.

Hoping that you get an answer soon and with treatment, can put this behind you.

Thank you, sure hope your right! I have severe anxiety an panic outside of home. I had 2-3 panic attacks at the drs office. I have no more medicine, so this will be hard.
