I am really sorry if this seems frantic, but just today I lost a very dear duck and now my other duck is not well. When I found her she was in the corner of the coop and didnt fight with me when I picked her up. At first she wouldn't stand and kept bowing her head, I had to guide her to the electro lights. After a while of seeing what could be wrong, I came to the conclusion that something could be stuck in her throat, so I looked and couldn't find anything, so if there is, then its all the way in the neck and I won't be able to get it. I tried flushing it out with water (giving her a water bowl and encouraging her to drink) and after a few minutes she started to have seizer. In the span of maybe 15 mins( I lost tract of time) she has had at least 4 and I don't know what to do! She had pooped and its liquid, pure liquid. She has puked up slime, a little bit of hay and that's it. I am picking up antibiotics, but it there anything else I could do, or does anyone know what this means? She is not an old duck, only 5-6 months old. And as I typed this, she just got up and is wondering around be looks complety lost and is very quiet,

I would definetly see a vet. Sounds like it could be a toxin. Do you know the cause of death for your other baby? Thouroughly check the coop to make sure there’s no strange mushrooms or plants... It would be helpful to identify the problem to help treat it properly (I know that may seem obvious... I don’t mean to sound rude) I hope your duck recovers and you could introduce a new friend eventually.

Very sorry to hear about your ducks. So many possibilities, I'll toss out a few questions to hopefully help narrow some things down.
Can you tell us about your setup? Are they locked up at night, what is the area like, bedding, food/water in the coop?
What do you feed them? Did you look for injuries, could something have gotten ahold of her? Ducks feed tends to get wet and can clump and mold, is hers all ok?
Do you give any treats? Do they free-range and could have gotten into something toxic?

@casportpony @Pyxis may have more ideas also.

Best of luck

It could be toxin, but there is nothing natural around the house that could hurt my duck (I checked) the only thing I can think of is, my dad has a bad habit of not covering his oil cans and such, so I make sure I cover them (I nearly lost a turkey a long time ago because it drinked some oil) but everything was covered and out of reach from them, so I doubt it. Unfortunately I couldn't get my duck to the vet in time. The moment I was calling my vet telling her im coming in, is when my duck passed away. For my other duck, she passed away due to old age. I had that duck since I was in second grade and im currently in my first year of college. I didn't have the heart to do a necropsy, so I honestly still don't know what truly happened

The ducks shared the same shed with the geese (they all get along very well and I was currently setting up the new shed to move the geese out of the original) I feed them layer crumble and no the food did not get moldy. (Their feed is on the other side of their shed, plenty far from their water. I didn't see any injuries and i looked everywhere. The only treats they get is cracked corn and they didn't have anything for a good month. She did free range, but was put inside at night. Their bedding is sawdust and straw for bedding. And it sucks to say this, but I wouldn't be surprised if she manged to get into oil or antifreeze, my dad has a very bad habit of not putting or covering those things and let them be out in the open. I make it my mission everyday before I let anyone out, to make sure any liquid that can cause harm to my critters is covered and put away. But there is a chance I could've missed it. Unfortunately she passed away before I was able to get her to the vets
