I don't know what's wrong!

below are pics of her a month ago. Sorry I took so long to get the pics.
Her comb is not missing. A month ago she was laying, now she is molting. Her comb appears to have disappeared because molting, non-laying hen's combs shrink. I am assuming you have a rooster that is causing the small bald patch behind her comb. Roosters don't care if a hen is molting, they will still mate her. Pulling those feathers out in the process.......

Agreed - this is not a missing comb, just a shrunken one.

Really?? I swear her comb was larger. (so confused)
No I don' t have a rooster. don't like them.

Then I would be dusting them for lice and mites. That means a complete coop clean out also. Feather chewing lice make chickens miserable. Check the area about 2inches below the vent for lice egg sacks attached to the feather shaft.

She probably molting or has mites/lice then. Check her vent for mites/lice. To do that you look at you look at the base of the feather and look for white/brown clusters on the feathers, similar to the way lice is on human hair. (No chicken lice won't transfer to you.) Mites/lice usually go for the vent first because it is dark and moist, which are prime conditions for them.

I will check for that in the morning.

If you don't see mites/lice then could you maybe take a photo of her wing out stretched? Then based on her wing feathers you can tell if she is molting or is going to molt. Or at least that's what I have been taught through 4-H.

You know, is it just me or does she look a little puffy around the eyes. Normally that might indicate a sinus infection but I'm wondering if it's just a lot of mites. Have you thought about using Ivermectin?

Strange they think Ivermectin is useless because Ivermectin is used for all types of mite problems on both animals and people. I think they are somehow misinformed and I've had good results with it myself (the pour on). For non blood sucking mites I may add a few drops of Frontline for cats. Anyway, a pretty big bang for the buck.
