I don't know where to start, my duck isn't fairing well

I would recommend moving him into a small pen with soft bedding, where he can reach food and water without getting up. Then get some poultry electrolytes into him, as he probably won't eat much because of the stress. If you can keep him hydrated and get some calories into him with an electrolyte, that will give him a chance to heal. I've heard Chick start or Nutridrench poultry both work well, others can advise you on that. If he has special treats he likes try feeding those too. I'm sorry, unless you have a local vet that does poultry, it's really hard to get help with an ill or injured duck.

Can you give him time in a lukewarm tub, deep enough to float, a few times a day to take the weight off his legs and still be able to exercise them?

the nutri-drench sounds like a good idea, too.

Could he have ingested something toxic?

He was able to lift himself up a little bit today, but he's tryin to put all his weight on his right foot.

That's a step in the right direction!

Thanks for the update!

Glad to hear there's some progress. If you can find something to let him float in for a while every day, that will help him a lot. Then he can exercise his sore leg without weight on it and he will be really happy.

Im having trouble finding a store that sells nutri-drench. is it sold in stores? A friend of mine suggested lightly tieing his legs together but loose enough to let him walk, could this help? Now that he is back to standing here is a picture of other severity of his legs

I don't know where you are but in my part of NC Tractor supply sells it. or you can order online from Jeffers or First State. And I don't know it it would help your duck to fasten hobbles. hopefully someone else will weigh in on that. Poor thing though he really does have a serious problem. Are you adding nician to his food or water? you can buy brewers yeast and add to his feed. I am happy to hear he's up on his feet though.
