OOPS!
I was just trying to hit the quote button so I could give you a piece of my mind and I hit the report button instead. Sorry.
Anyway, on to giving you a piece of my mind: please, take it. You will then have some insight into the wonderful world of poodles. The standards. Have you ever actually seen one in person or gotten to interact with one?
Their coats can be trimmed in so many ways, but the truth is, people who don't know poodles have no clue he is a poodle unless he is in a recognizable cut.
What happens is something like this: Someone sees the dog, finds him beautiful and well behaved. They want a dog just like him and ask what kind he is. I tell them he's a poodle. They are shocked -- always. Then, either one is enlightened, OR one reverts to bias and ignorance, turns up their nose and and say something like Oh, I can't stand poodles. They are too prissy, ugly, French, blah, blah, blah. (BTW, Poodles aren't French, they are German.) Poodles are fabulous animals, loyal, highly intelligent, and very trainable. They do require a knowledgeable and dedicated owner.
Now, Cacky,
so there!!
(Psst, MY poodle is the UGLIEST poodle that ever walked the face of the earth. I posted a pic of his ugly mug in this thread.)
