I Dropped a baby bunny :"(

I think you should call the one that fell, Bumble..... cause bumbles bounce! :) I think my mom dropped me when I was younger and I turned out fine! LOL!.

Seriously, though... had this kit died because he fell, it wouldn't have been something to hurt yourself over..you have a responsibility to care for your other rabbits. Consider it a tough learning experience. I'm not trying to say the rabbits life doesn't have value, but if you're going to raise animals, you have to have a bit tougher of a skin... you will always have losses whether at your hand on accident or on purpose or for some other reason, stuff happens. What will make you a better person, pet owner/breeder, is how you handle learning from your mistakes.

2x and it is part of life we all have to go thru with all of our animals. My daughter dropped her hammies and they were fine, still spinning their wheels. Had one that just got out of his cage, dropped down from a 4.5 foot shelf TWICE and he was fine.

I dropped an egg while incubating, sorting out the duds from the fertile ones....just waxed the cracks and it was fine.

sorry about the peanut :( but aren't death rates fairly high for baby bunnies within the first few days or even weeks? i haven't bred rabbits, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've picked up by looking at these threads, so isn't naming them now a little risky? If you name 'em you'll be more likely to become more attached.

Yeah your right in the summer its the snakes eating the babies and the kits overheating and in the winter the kits get cold with out enough wool :) and yes it is risky to name them but it helps you keep track :) of them lol
