I dunno what im looking at !

thanks crystal...I will take another look on thursday which will be day 8 of incubation. So far the incubator is performing beautifully..the temps in the water weasel are very stable between 98.7 and 100.4F. The humidity is 50-60% . We are turning the eggs 180deg 3-4times daily and moving them around the incubator into different locations each time we turn them.

Lisa...i guess the SSH roo is more flighty than the pullets but still far calmer than our salmon faverolle male. Our RIR boy is awesome and loves to be handled but he is 8 weeks old and the other two are only 4 weeks old.

I just put the 4 weekers outside last night for the first time in their new coop. I have a 8x10 coop for the 15 youngins ( 4weekers) and an 8x6 coop for my 10 larger 8 weekers. The 8 weeker's coop is currently attached to a 10x10run but I have just purchased ( and spent the last 10 days killing my back installing) a 900sq foot chainlink run ( 6 feet tall with barbed wire runners x3 on the top) which has the 4 weekers coop inside it currently. I had planned on moving the big girls coop into the larger run also in the next week or so when the 4 weekers have settled in. There has been a lot of fighting between the two age groups so hopefully the new arrangement will stop that.
