I feed my choocks apricot seeds will they die?

You may weigh for example 100 KG. and a chicken weighs 2 KG. Can you calculate how many seeds would do a CHICKEN in??? If it is soo harmless, why don't the feed companies add it to their Chicken feed as an ALTERNATIVE CHEAP FILL.
I only stated in my previous post that the chickens should be OK. That does not mean that they would not encounter some stomach pain/cramps.
From your post I get an impression that it is not a very big deal.

To be honest I'm not sure. I can't remember where I saw it but I do remember them saying that the amount of poison in apple seeds is negligible. If it was dangerous I'm sure apples would come with a health warning! There's got to be a irony there!

Water is by far more dangerous.

Apple and apricot seeds would be unhealthy if you happened to be eating pounds and pounds and pounds of them, but I don't think that anyone will be feeding their chickens that much anytime soon

I give my chickens all the "squeezins" when I make apple cider. Been doing this for a number of years...usually it'll be the seeds from 5-10 bushels of apples at a time for between 6-15 chickens. Never had any ill effects!
