Well it's 12:32 AM and my chick keeps chirping. I mean during 11 I put it to sleep using body warmth.. Sadly it has no mother, And was bought my my middle sister from street vendors. It's probably a 1-2 week old chick?
I just left it and it keeps on chirping breaking my heart. What should I do?

Can you get another chick or two for it? And :welcome!

A baby chick has a strong instinct to be with other baby chicks for comfort and safety. I agree with @Evadig that getting one or two more chicks would be what this chick needs.

You can raise it alone, but you will need to provide the safety and comfort the chick needs by giving it a lot of attention. At night when you need to sleep, place the chick in a fuzzy cloth or sock so it will have something to snuggle with. Be careful, though, that there are no loose knit yarn or threads that can strangle a chick.

The chick alarm might be going off because it's cold, also! It needs to be at a temperature between 95*F for the first week of life, 90*F for second, and minus 5 degrees for each week after. I agree with the others about it needing companionship, too.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Glad you joined.

Has the chick had food and water? What have you fed it and how did you give it water?

It needs a warm spot where it can warm up. It's entire universe does not need to be warm, they can manage for a while in pretty cold conditions but when they need to warm up they need a warm spot. What temperatures are you keeping it in?

It may be lonely. If you are going to keep it you probably should get a couple more chicks the same age. In the meantime give it a plush animal or toy it can snuggle with and a mirror. If it sees its reflection it should be less lonely.

This is the reason reputable feed stores generally do not sell individual chicks but have a minimum number when you buy them.
