I feel so bad :(

We are animal sitting for a good friend of ours, and sometime this morning their dog chewed through his leash, broke into the run and killed their small flock. We started them several weeks ago (raised those chickens from day olds-they were 7 months)
) on chickens. Very traumatic for my kids (me too)- but their roo gave a good fight by the look of the feathers. RIP Prince Charming and his 4 girls

I'm so sorry.

In my experience, nothing is worse than someone trusting you with something and you messing up, even in a total accident like that that wasn't your fault at all.
I hope it turns out okay.

I am so very sorry that happened. It is so hard to lose any chick. Tell that doggie he is bad bad bad.

They totally understand and feel terrible also. I took the last 4 eggs their chickens laid and set them in my incubator so hopfully they will have babies in three weeks. It is still sad though..
