But my parents won't allow any more chickens, and in a way I agree because I don't want to risk losing my birds. (I'm not allowed in the first place) I LOVE my girls the way they are, but I wish my feed store had more variety when I was buying chicks. At the time it was just RIRs, EE, Leghorns, and BOs. Now they have RSLs, BSLS, GLWs, SLWs, BOs, BRs, BJGs, australorps, and a really nice bin of adorable assorted bantams. >_<

I know how you feel ... my mom basicly told me to not hatch a single thing out and not to get anymore new chickens and just to let mine die off and not get anymore for AWHILE!

We're never content are we??? I'm already thinking of my next flock and what I'll get. I chose a variety of hardy birds that had a reputation for being good layers. I don't want them to expire prematurely mind you, but I even started dreaming about peacocks...
