I forget how stressful this pea egg time is! Is it for you, too?

Hello everyone.
I have one peacock and one peahen I think there about 3 years old not really sure though. This year my cock has a beautiful long tail and has been shaking he's tail feathers for everyone chickens/ducks/ he's peahen. He's been calling like crazy as well. My question is if there breeding should I have seen them breed?

Bre

I've never actually seen mine breed, but I hear them do it, they make a strange sound right before they mount... I only know this because my youngest male has been mounting "things" since he was very young and always makes the noise before doing so.

My hubby found our cameo hens nest, i had asked him to keep an eye out for her, i needed to know which direction she was comming from cause i figurd she was laying.

this is what we got so far, i am so glad hubby saw her cause i had made a nesting area right by her and did not see the eggs cause unlike last year she covered them up real good.

This is the nest area i made and she was sitting 4 foot from it, but i have seen a white hen in there so i need to check under some leaves

Can you keep an eye on her where she's nesting, or is it too far out?

If it's anything like here in Northern ND, the 30's is the HIGH for the day, so it cools down instead of warming up. We had one day that made it to 43, but mostly highs are in the 28 - 33 range. Lows have gone to single digit, but mostly in the lower 20s.

I love ducklings!!!

Yep. Same here. I now have 5 eggs. I don't have high expectations, but will put them in the incubator and candle after several days to see if any are viable

She is in the safe zone and will be fine, heck i couldn't see here and i knew where she was, i am going to trade out the eggs tomorrow and put them under a group of broodies, i will pull them and put them in my bator at hatch time, hopefully they are fertile i first saw them couple on 4-4 I am hopping for a cameo male out of this hen.

Darnet Cammie has gone to sitten on them eggs, i was gonna pull them and replace them with some chicken eggs i gess i still will seeing as how she ain't even 2 yet and i am afraid she will quit on me.
