I have NO idea what this is. I found it in the box with a yolk colored yellow spot on the shell. I am new ish to chickens so I am just wondering what this is. You cant see it very well in the camera.

Is it yoke? Any chance another egg was laid in the same nesting box and they ate that egg and got some yoke on this egg?
Should I crack it and see what its like inside? Maybe it touched another yoke in the making process of the egg. (Just letting you know, I have no idea what im talking about)

Can you scrap the yellow off with your fingernail? Is it a dried yoke?
There is a chance that they ate an egg in the same nesting box. If the egg is cracked, the flock will eat the egg, shell and all and the only remains are some spots of yoke. Can you check in the nesting box to see if you fell any egg remnants?

No egg rements, just checked. I did see an egg the other day that someone kicked out of the box with a huge whole, could that be it?

Would this egg with the yellow have been laid around the same time as the egg with the hole in it? If so, it could easily have been that. That egg could've left behind a little yoke or been carried into the nesting box on the feathers or legs of a hen.

It has been about a day so it could be that. It was a different chicken who layed it but I think this egg was layed by the chicken who throw it out of the box.
