I'm so excited to be here. I'm new to the chicken world. I've had my hen Gretchen for just over a year now. She's an awesome layer. I also have six three and a half month old chicks. My husband just built laying boxes for them this weekend. All my chickens are Golden Sex Links. I don't know anything about the breed. If anyone has information on them please let me know.....thank you....again I'm looking forward to learning so much from you all.

We've been keeping sex links for almost five years now. They are indeed extremely good layers. Each of our hens has produced an egg a day for at least two years (they do tend to stop laying pretty quickly though. I guess they get tired out! I'm not sure if that's just the birds from the shop we buy from though.)
