The big bad storms missed my area

A tornado set down just north of were I live .So I am very lucky not to have an outage ..

Yes I really am in canada LOL

1 egg the clear one has been tossed out .
That leaves me with 6 developing eggs .

I putt 8 more Pheonex eggs in yesterday August 4. this hen just keeps giving me eggs .

Well I should do OK with getting a hatch even if I get the power failure .

As long as my phoenix hen keeps this up....

I have 24 eggs due on the 14th. I started out with 28, but when I candled on day 7, four were not fertile. I'll candle again on Saturday, day 14, and adjust the humidity depending on the size of the airsack. They are BR and RIR with a Silver Laced Wyandotte - I just want healthy good size layers. Hybrid vigor.

Actually, it's not that much work. I have an automatic turner which does all the turning for me. I just mark on a chart every day that I notice it's turning. I also keep track of the temp and humidity - this way I can compare to other hatches and compare hatch rate successes.

The hardest part is not opening the incubator! Especially after day 18!
These are days I plan something that has to be done away from the incubator, so I won't be tempted. And if a chick is taking a coon's age to hatch, I go visit a friend. Otherwise, I might be tempted to help and ruin everything.

Time passes quickly .

I turn mine from the outside . and I do not worry to much just check the water and themp and humidity .
My first bator costed $20 .

I just candled for the second time. Tomorrow is 2 weeks and out of 14 eggs, 11 are developing. Best I've ever had on shipped eggs. (thanks redhen!)

So far so good on my eggs! I'm concerned on a couple because the air cell seems larger on them.Hoping it wont be a problem

Well 1 more week to go!!!! My broody hen just hatched out 4 chicks today and 1 more to go! That was a first for us to.Was very exciting!

I have no patiences at all! None, just ask my husband! Anywhos with this brinsea its easy. I just fill it up every few days and thats it. I can see how this gets hard to stop.

day 14 here also you girls are crazy! had a rough day yesterday wife turned down house a/c without telling me and when i got up temp. in bator was 97.9 adjusted up went to 102 finally got it dialed in again what a pain. have 15 growing 2 questionable? 7 more agonizing days.
