First

2nd a pip is when a chick first breaks a tiny hole in the shell you can usually see a small crack and alittle shell pushed out they actually do this 2x on inner membrane then outer shell/ then they zip some times right away or usually within 24 hours they use their egg tooth and cut and break the shell all the way around then start to push themselves out. I am new at this i am sure someone could explain it better but that is my understanding.
