Fermented feed (geez they love it! Only day 3 and they jump in the feed pan when I bring it! Lol). They also got some celery carrots and a slice of apple each

Wow lets see i feed treats off and on all day.yesterday was .wheat -lentil -oss fodder fermented crumbles tomatoes bread rice with brocolli yogurt grapes a soft grass they like .They get it all but not tons of any and their layer feed

Why?! I've actually heard that people have given there chickens treat items and not any pellets. I try to give them a treat every day!!!!

You can give them unlimited greens! but you don't want them to have to much dairy like yogurt,cheese,and cottage cheese.Those things you want to feed in moderation.I don't know about everyone else but I try to limit the amount of chicken JUNK FOOD I give my chickens!!! to much protein in their diet (I have heard) can cause a hen to get egg bound.

I haven't given the shells to them yet. So I shouldn't be worried if they don't like the shells.

They will not have a problem eating the shells, mine also get them free choice. It helps those egg shells.

Protein is good!!! I have just heard that if they have to much in their diet it can cause them to become egg bound! but you hear a lot of things so who knows if it is true.
