I gave my chickens today...........................................

How many chickens do you have. How much space do you have? I am just wondering because I have 2 acres and want more chickens. And I already have six.

my guess is you can have a whole lot more then six if you want.

Yesterday my chickens got: left over green peas, a handfull of seed mix, and some sort of mexican rice stuff that I found in the back of the fridge. Oddly enough, they didn't like the green peas much.

Really? My chickens love green peas!! Did you look if it was moldy? My chickens hate moldy food.

Been giving mine oatmeal everyday since it got cold... nicely warmed up in the micro... always throw in a splash of ACV(raw) along with the water necessary to get a nice mix. Then add cut up apples, raisins, sunflower seeds or whatever happens to be laying around that's edible. Do let it

cool down a bit though.

The other day the ladies got some pumpkin seeds and insides, left over from making a veggie soup. They love Birdie Herb Cake when I have time to make it for them. It's a good way to get rid of leftovers.

Mine had oatmeal too (although we call it porridge here in uk) and leftover veg.

I always find it so funny when one chicken finds something soo yummy they run away to stop the others getting it!!

A chopped up bunch of spinach. My Jersey Giant LOVE LOVE LOVES spinach. The others will eat it. Probably just because they see her hoovering it up and think they are missing out on something. It's not their favorite treat. But my Jersey Girl LOVE it.
