I gave my chickens today...........................................

Oh my goodness!!! I had no idea you could feed chickens all that different stuff. I am going to raid my fridge when I get home. My two girls will love it!

I gave mine plain white beans, raisins and clumps of rabbit's foot clover this morning. They love the clover and chase each other around carrying clumps of it in their beaks.

Right now Sweet potatoes are by far cheaper than corn ($0.12 per lb), so I buy a few hundred lbs of taters and boil up about 8-10 lbs for 30 min in a big pot, cool it off and take it out to the birds in the morning. It is gone in under 10 min.. I also toss aout a few lbs of whole corn, which is gone before I get home.

Mind you, I do have 40 ducks, 15 chickens and 30ish guineas

Mine get whatever leftovers I find. They love macaroni and cheese.

Today they got salad: spinach, romaine, radish, bell pepper, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, bacon, leftover ham and bean soup, eggs shells and some dinner rolls.

Yesterday they got yogurt with strawberries. That was a huge hit.

My girls got treats I made!

Oatmeal
white rice
fruit
yogurt
scratch
crushed oyster shell

and anything else you want to throw in

scoop into balls place on a tray and freeze!

I give them one a day after defrosting them.
