When I had some live mealworms from GRUBCO I made a really nice dish for them with warm water soaked feed,shredded lettuce,scrambled eggs,and some live mealworms on the top. It was loved by all.Maybe I will order some more worms and something to give them extra. I do have some red wigglers,but I hate to give those as feed.

Maybe toss an Apple or 2 in there.Been adding hot water to their pellet feed.They get that when I turn the light on for the day.That,and some warm drinking water.Darn cold out.

Everybody seems to be talking about mealworms. I'm going to try it, but I have no idea where to get some.

Just came across this thread and its neat. My girls love mealworms too, I just pick them up at our pet store in a container. I also keep a bowl on my kitchen counter and throw all of our table scraps into that and then once a day go give it to the chickens. They absolutely love it. If youre not going to finish your dinner, we throw it in the "chicken bowl" instead of the trash.

Mine got two leftover buns from Christmas dinner. We keep a bag by the kitchen counterfull of things to give them.
