OK, I ordered a few chicks from Ideal, and they sent males for warmth - problem is, it is 90 degrees here!!! What a hoot, I don't even know what they are, they are not RIR because those I got in my orderand they look nothing alike, they are all yellow - my camera got dropped down the stairs, so no pics yet..................maybe they are buff orps.................

What are you going to do w/ them?

That's exactly why I specifically told them "NO males for warmth!" when I ordered. It even says that on the shipping box. Hope they are a nice breed that you can easily find homes for.

Funny .. I was hoping for a packing peanut or two .. didn't get one.

Ha, I asked her if I woul get males - she said no, that is only in the early spring...............so I figured I wouldn't get any
I have too many roos now, maybe someone will want them

I didn't get any packing peanuts either. Of course, I did order 27 chicks (though I only got 26), so that's probably why.

Good luck with those males. Maybe they can go in the freezer??
