I got a brown egg with white polka-dots! PICTURE

It is the most amazing egg I have ever seen! It looks just like you splattered it with paint... but I assure you, I diddn't. What would cause this? Is it just an abnormality?

Based soley on your description, it sounds like excess calcium spots. No worries.

I have one hen that lays eggs like that every now and then too! I love them!

I would blow it out, kinda the reason i don't want ee's i wouldn't beable to hatch or eat any of the eggs, i would want to blow them all out lol and don't have room to keep that many blown eggs lol

I haven't gotten very good at knowing how much calcium to give my girls. I'm so worried about the calcium in their bones getting depleted so I make sure I sneak calcium into their snacks a couple times a week. I also get the spots on the brown and blue-green eggs. Well, they're probably on the white ones too, but I just can't see them. It is pretty! Yours has a neat design and the spots are much bigger than what happens here. You should blow it and save it.
