I got a citation from city Animal Care & Service, but the citation is not my name, should I ignore it?

What was the citation for? Is it so incorrect that it seems to have been meant for an entirely different person or is it clearly meant for you and they have the wrong name on it? Because of possible legal ramifications involved should you take the wrong course of action I would advise you to seek counsel from a trained legal representative licensed to practice in your specific locality vs. relying on the well intentioned advice you will find here.

The citation is for Proper and Adequate Care of Animals Requirement. Basically, I have one duck over the city limit,(limit is 6, i have 7) and they send me warning to corrected it within one week, and citation at the same day, and wrong name, this make me very confusing.

I would not ignore it - name being incorrect or not you *are* in violation of the city limit.

I'm also having city issues. Got letter today from city hall with city ordinance reference. Stating no poultry shall run at large within city limits and they must be cooped no closer than 75 feet from any dwelling.
My 3 hens are coop only and further than 75 ' away.
I'm going to talk to them in the morning. I don't want a war but I don't want to loose my birds. Any input? Thanks

Definitely go in and speak with them to get more detail on the reasoning for the citation - until you understand why it was issued there isn't any way to start to address any correction that may need to be done. It may be something easily resolved (ie someone else's birds mistaken for yours, a difference in measuring of distances, etc)

You cannot/must not allow anyone..especially beaurocrats to assign a name to you. If you intend to fight this, then do not respond. ( if you write a letter to the Mayor of Nepal ganza and demand that your Mayor respond, see how far that gets ya) let them make the next move after you fail to respond, vthen you take them to court. Now, if you do not wish to fight, go to them IMMEDIATELY and clear thus up. YOU must Deng being this entity they have named you.
