I got a dove, but no clue

My son rescued a baby mourning dove that was about to be eaten by a cat. So, he has been raising it learning on the fly. Ran across "BackYard Chickens" liked what I saw/read, and thought I could be a nice site to join.

A few years ago I recued a pigeon in distress at my workplace. I found a lady (who is a nun) who would rehab them. I'm sure she would've also rehab'ed a dove. You might seek out someone like that in your area even if just for the advice they might offer. Good luck!

Also know that there is an invasive species of dove (at least here in AZ- probably elsewhere too) that you want to make sure this is not one of them if you want to release it to the wild again. You can check with any hunter or with you state game and fish department for details.
