I got a new pullet and she isn’t doing well this morning!

The owner didn’t know we were going to buy her so she would have food and water available. I was thinking she may be getting ready to lay...I will be giving her tuna and vitamins now, what doesn’t the tuna do?
Thank you!
Tuna is a nice protein boost for her that is smelly so she may be more eager to eat it.

Most chickens will eat egg or tuna, and if she is not used to your feed, that just will get some food into her. Egg and tuna have a lot of vitamins and minerals. Just use a small amount.
Ditto Dat^^^ I will likely affect her poop.
Be good to get her on a regular ration as soon as you can.
Keeping her crated will allow her to relax, not be harassed, and you to monitor her intake and outputs.
I like to use a crate like this, with a chunk of 2x4 added for a roost', to observe birds functions.

Hello everybody, my name is Sage and I am from Australia, and yesterday I purchased a POL Isa Brown. Yesterday she was doing good, eating, scratching around ect. (She is staying with my Australorp pullet) But this morning Beverly isn’t acting herself. I haven’t seen her eat, barely interested in grass and I’ve caught her a few times sitting down and sleeping. Anyone have any idea what’s wrong with her? Is she missing her friends at her old home?
Thank you!

Chickens don’t like change. A change of location can really set them back. It could be as simple as that.

Hello everybody! Thank you for all wonderful replies! I am happy to say that Beverly has improved a lot and is now actually walking around, foraging and eating the feed I put her on! I think the anti stress medicine I put in her water and some tuna really helped her! Now I hope she comes out of her shell as she is a really shy chicken! Thank you again!

On a more unfortunate note, one of my laying hens has a health issue with eggs and has been in the nest boxes trying to pas this liquid stuff for hours. I will make a new post on this soon.
