I Got A Pip!!!

LIke I said I havent heard any peeping but I jus got home. is the place where your chick piped got a little black spot like from fluid? i guess

No dark spot, it is actually white. They are marans eggs, so they are dark, but the pip area is now white. I am not even sure if the peeps were from that one or another. They are all due today, but the one that pipped is in the back of the incubator. It is the only one so far.

Yours that is early will probably hatch in the wee hours of the morning or late night. I have seen others on here that have said it took that long for them. I wonder if the black spot that you see is a part of his/her beak?

I know! It might be the beak I dont know! I read something somewhere about the fluid rushing into the beak and the chicks drowning. I jus hope thats no happened!

I hope that all my other eggs pip. I think i jus want to go down stairs and the chick be floppin around the incubator!

Should I post pics of each stage! I feel likeim running up and down the staris to the basement! mom wouldnt let me keep them upstairs!

! i have a light on them but since i took out my turner my thermometter is readin 98 maybe 99 i turned it up but the reading didnt change so i turned it back to where it was. hope thats ok!

I am right there with you and hoping the same! I have gotten no work done today! I have been back and forth to the incubator all day....

Like right now....this is me headed back to the incubator to check on progress ...lol..
