I got "gifted " a rooster

Seriously, right? I'm working with him on ot nipping right now. I feel like I'm talking to my kids when they were small: OK guys biting isn't OK. Use your words honey. My neighbors probably think I'm nuts outside conversing with my flock ☺
I talk with my chickens all the time like they are 3 yr olds...you are not alone lol 🤣

I talk to all my animals all the time like they are sensible people, lol. What really cracks me up is when one of the dogs has something and I say, "What have you got?" And they drop it real fast and act like, "Nothin', I ain't got nothin'!" And Sammy starts barking and yelling, "She did too have something, she's not supposed to have that, is she? Git'er, Mom!" And it turns out to be a dry leaf or something... Sammy's such a tattle tale.

My dog tries to blame stuff that she did on my other dog lol! She also starts barking at my other dog when he starts biting...(he's still a puppy.) Today my mastiff pup chewed up some of my couch...I bet that 10 year warranty will come in handy!

I was "gifted " a 18 wk old cockerel/rooster.
He is very pretty!

I think he's considered a roo at this age.
No. A cockerel turns into a rooster at one year.

Would appreciate any breed suggestions.
He appears to be mixed with Brahma, but not full Brahma.

Google lens said Asil. Psht right. When was the last time anyone saw them show up on the radar? Besides I thought they had black skin. Anyway not buying that answer
Google Lens is about the least accurate way to identify a chicken. It takes knowledge and a keen eye to identify a breed. Asil do not have black skin (by the way, black skin is fibromelanism), and they are gamefowl that stand very upright, growing to about three feet tall. They do not look anything like your cockerel.

I talk to my flock all the time! I have a Rhode Island Red Bantam hen, Ruby, who talks to me whenever I talk to her. Seriously, I can ask her a question and she will answer me. Her voice is very high-pitched and squeaky, she does not even sound like a chicken so I have no idea what she is saying back to me but it is very cute nonetheless.
