Holy cow! @Nifty-Chicken , @RabbitGirl I hope you are both ok!
When I was a kid, I got beat up pretty bad by a wild turkey Momma when I caught one of her babies, but to battle a hawk? You have some pretty big huevos! But I quess that's just what Daddys do. You're a real life Hero! It was also very kind of you to let the hawk go free, after attacking my daughter I don't think I could have done that.
Keep an eye on the wounds and heal up quick!

Ya Scarlet is pretty much completely healed up now, we put her back with the others and she even layed an egg! My wounds are healing too, slowly but surely.

I'm curious; given how awesome that whole "fought a hawk to save my chicken" story is, are you hoping the marks scar enough to see? Not enough to cause any trouble, of course, but a couple scars that won't affect anything would be cool as heck.

Yes, It is still uncomfortable to hold heavy-ish things, or wright but I'm managing.

UPDATE!
Were both pretty much completely healed up! Scarlet is still a little off, and sill not very talkative and active, but she is walking around, eating and she even jumped up on our water thing to get a drink (shown in first picture) And my hand is also mostly healed too! It still hurts when pressure is applied but that is expected. (shown in pictures 2 & 3)
