Is there any more to say???

Sooo...
I went out and got a Little Giant from TSC. DH sprang for the turner, and hooked it up for 3 days to be sure it would run alright, and to get the temp settings just right. Now I've got a bunch of Blue Rock eggs from Halo (Thank You) and then filled it the rest of the way with my Isa mutts. I started them last night after work. I got a digital thermometer/Hydrometer from the pet store, and it works very well. So far I haven't had any problems with temps or humidity. This is so exciting, I'm already thinking of what I can hatch when these are done!!!

DH doesn't even know what kind of damage I can do now!

I think he is. I was going thru the hatching eggs page last weekend and had Halo's thread open when he walked up and said "Those are pretty. You should get some of those." That is all it took. Two minutes later we were paypaling the money over.

So maybe I am the one in trouble. I have created a monster... there is no one to stop me now.

Okay, so being the impatient person I am I candled last night. Out of 39 eggs all had definite veining except for 3!

It's still early, and those 3 are dark, they just need some time.

I'm a new egg and built my bator, and my eggs are due on the 19th also.
Have not candled my eggs yet, because they are brown.
Good Luck 4est

LOL You are a goner for sure now

I am a hatch-a-holic. I have now over 70 chicks outside, 7 in the brooder, and a bator full right now with more to arrive this next week. My DH is working on me a home made bator now because I don't have enough bator room. LOL

Baby chicks are very addicting....

I out of a old metal colman cooler. 75 watt bulb, water heater thermostat,
computer fan, hand turner that works from the outside, as not to open it very much. Water bottles for heat sinks, and some open for humidity. With a wal-mart temp. & humidity combined. Oh also water pan and sponge in bottom and 3 air vent holes. Took an old gold star microwave and remover the door glass for the window in the top. I think thats about all.
Thank You for asking 4est
