I got my first RIR egg!!!

    Hooray! I just went to care for the girls and a got a cute little brown eggs in the box. I knew they were getting close at 19 weeks. I will hopefully be able to stop buying eggs soon.[​IMG]

    Congrats! You will soon have an abudence of eggs. I always have had 2 or 3 RIR in my flock and they are by far the most consistent brown egg layers for me. They still don't out lay my white leghorns, but I love the RIRs.

    So get those egg cartons ready and get your customers lined up.

    Mine started laying at exactly 22 weeks. I have RIRs, Leghorns, and EE. I got my first EE olive drab green egg yesterday! CAMO EGGS!!! [​IMG] Now I get white, Brown and green eggs.

    Makes me want to start reciting Dr Suise stories...Green eggs and Ham...

    Congratulations are in order. My EE chix have not started laying yet. They seem to be the late bloomers. I can hardly wait to see them appear in the box.

    Congrats!!! I must be doing something wrong because my RIR is now 28 weeks and she still hasn't laid me an egg. Yes, I'm positive she's a she too......
