I got my great dane!!!

I've been begging dh for a great dane since we got married 6 years ago. We've been battling back and forth about it since November and I finally found one that had the coloring I wanted. After a ton more begging dh let me go get it this am. I'm finally the proud owner of a 6 week old great dane pup!!!

He/She is beautiful.

I have two Newfoundlands now....My next dog is going to be a Great Dane. I too have always wanted one.

Is that a certain type? It looks like it has at least 4 colors in it.

He's a merle. They're hard to find around here, mostly you get blues or brindles along with an occasional black. I wanted a Harlequin but there was no way we could afford that. He was truly worth the wait!

We had a merle female we named Freckles and she had one light blue eye and one hazel eye

He's beautiful, as he grows, keep rising his food dish so he doesn't have to bend over so far to eat, Helps keep him from bloating. they are precious dogs. we had one the same color for 9 years marrie

Here's a better picture. He has beautiful blue eyes, lets just see if he keeps them. We've battled bloat twice before with our GSD and almost lost her last time so we're going to have be super cautious with him.
