So, this summer my chix when into their molt, stopped laying for the most part and then daylight hours decreased this fall and they took the winter off. (all but a few).
Yesterday was a nice sunny day, so I let them out of the coop/run into our fenced in back yard. The LOVED free ranging, something they do often spring through fall. After a few minutes of being outside, two of my girls went into the coop and laid two beautiful eggs.
Hopefully we are on to something!!!
