I got my incubator in today!

it will turn very slowly, so what use to do when I had my hova-bator (same turner) I'd lookaat it then come back an hour later to see if it moved, what you need to watch is that the eggs don't stop the turners movement

Well, the egg turner does it's thing and you help. Adjusting placement, turing eggs more completely, etc. I've been told that some turners only "shake" the eggs every couple of hours and it can result in the embryos incorrectly developing. That's why it's good to do both.

Well, the egg turner I purchased that goes with the incubator does not shake eggs. It works very slowly with a back and forth motion that takes a full 20 minutes. Very gentle. I have watched it in action. I don't want to be rude, but I politely agree to disagree. Never heard of an egg turner that "shakes" your eggs. Shaking is a no-no.

Not rude at all! I'm glad you chimed in, this is my first time hatching so any advice is greatly appreciated. That tid bit of info is just something that I had also been told, maybe that person had a faulty turner, I dunno.
