Most dog parks don't allow puppies under 6 months because they need to have their rabies vaccine before they are allowed. Not all dog parks are like that, but you should check.

For sure - wait until the full series of distemper/parvo vaccines are done. I just watched (while trying to treat) a 4 month old puppy with DISTEMPER die. It was one of the saddest things I've had to deal with in a long time. Unlike parvo, DISTEMPER KILLS EVERY TIME! There's no known treatment. Please don't risk Lily's health - I know it's not easy to wait, but it's so worth it! Congrats!

P.S. If you google "distemper" there's a very informative site put out by University of California - Davis.

Lily is a wonderful name for her - she is completely and utterly adorable! Thanks so much for sharing the photos of her!

Well, we changed her name! LOL. We were sitting there and I just kept messing up her name. For some reason I never said Lily! It annoyed me. So!!! Her name is Angel. Don't know about registered name, but she's my lil' angel. LOL. She's doing great. I've started working her with the chickens.

So, I was talking with our landlord, who has his own livestock dogs. He was helping me get her used to my chickens. I only have 3 bantams right now but they are sweet and big enough she can't EASILY hurt them. I took my BTW Japanese out and she sniffed at them. She would lick her feathers. I did have to correct her once she licked and started pulling feathers, not hard, but still. It will take time for her to be trusted. The landlord said she'd be great for guarding goats, I'm considering it. After she saw the first banty, I showed her the others and she let my frizzle sit on her

I am thinking of full names, but none so far.
