I am going to use an old camper shell,up on stilts and fenced off.

PlatinumChick I used a Camper shell as a roof on a coop I made. It worked really well and has windows already built in and doesn't look that bad when I finished.

Anybody with little kids here? My son loves the Thomas the Tank Engine episode where the double decker bus gets used as a hen house. He even put his hotwheels bus in our brooder so the chicks would feel at home

I've got a full-sized camper that I'm soon going to be converting to a coop. Hubby got it moved into the correct location, now he just needs to drop it down to the right level, then I can begin the conversion and put up the run fence around it. Hopefully, it won't look too, umm, trashy when I'm done.

Well....if you have to...I would hard wire the big openings for safety and snake proof it if you lock them in at night. But in the summer I would have to take some white paint to the roof to repel the heat.
I would opt for something else that would be safer with less hazards. Did I mention snakes and rodents love old junk cars...
