I didn't feel old until today when the local "oldies" station stared playing U2 every other hour. That being said, there is an old Italian lady at the Slovenia club that I know who sings and dances every chance she gets! above and beyond that I am willing to bet that she could out clean any professional maid service out there..her exact words: "I love to clean things! I cant stand dirt any where! I could clean all day long!" awesome lady, 89 years old drinks a glass of draft beer and nurses a shot of slivovits or jagermister at the party's. There is something about the middle Europeans that migrated to the US, they are like energizer bunnys they never quit! The manager of the Slovene Club at 71 can still keep up with any construction crew on the job or at the bar, and probably drive the youngsters to quit before him at either one. Moral of the story is you are only as old as you let yourself be

This is the excuse that I use with my DH for having so many chickens. I need to keep building things, cleaning things, etc...to stay active and fit!

Somehow I don't feel the same way about housework....
