I had 2 drakes, 1 of them got killed last night. Now my other duck is all alone, what should I do?

Have you looked on craigs list asked at your feed store? there is also a Buy Sell trade thread here and a rehoming thread. Plus you can go to "where am I where are you" and look up your state thread and talk to members in your state that may have a duck or 2 for your drake.

I found someone near me with a small flock who is willing to take him in. I would have liked to keep him but every place near me that I looked had no adult ducks for sale. So the next best thing would be to let this person have him, at least he won't be alone.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions, I really appreciate it.

i posted in my state thread the other day that I was looking for a few ducks and didn't know anything about them Less than 8 hours later I had my ducks, several ladies living near me putting me not only in touch with several Duck Ladies, but even specific types of ducks. I can't say enough about our various state threads as a resource. Ill just bet there is someone near you with one too many drakes that needs a good home.

I have a Drake that needs a new home. He's one year old. Mallard. Very friendly but seriously a "city"duck. He been raised in small yard with a mama duck, I cant keep too many. Yard small! Be glad to transport within reason . He's quite handable. And handsome! Name is Jagger.

I found a new home for my Drake, so I don't have anymore ducks at my home anymore, unfortunately. But I hope you find a new home for yours, good luck.

Go to your state thread or put on the rehoming thread. Sure hope you can find your boy a good forever home.

We have a female Pekin named WindyBlossom who lost her best friend last week. We're heartbroken and now looking to re-home her with a companion. Are you near Massachusetts, and would a female Pekin be a good friend to your drake? Our WindyBlossom is gorgeous and very gentle.
