I had a new addition in my coop tonight!

I have robins (The Christmas card kind) that live in the hedge along the side of my run.
They seem to have learned that chooks get good stuff. When the girls aren't looking, they will fly into the 'conservatory' and help themselves to a pellet, and go again!

The thing about robins is that they are REALLY aggressive - They will kill each other over a territorial dispute - And there are at least 3 males living in the hedge on the left there

When the sparrows and finches first showed up the chickens used to chase them, but got tired of that game. Now the sparrows eat right along the chickens. This morning it was that one little bird mingling around in the middle of a flock of very large chickens. He's a brave little soul.

Mine still chase the little birds.
The pheasants are funny though: They are twice the size of my chikenes but don't DARE go in the chicken run!!!

There are about 20 of them that lurk around the fence, but they get chased off. I guess the little birds are quicker!
