It is illegal to use pesticides such as Golden Malrin in this manner.

I haven't taken enough time to find the specific laws on pesticide usage, but I found this on another board -- caps from the original poster:

"IT IS A VIOLATION OF STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS TO USE A PESTICIDE IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT WITH IT'S LABEL. GOLDEN MALRIN IS A REGISTERED PESTICIDE AND IS NOT LABELED FOR SUCH APPLICATIONS. ALSO, THE "CYANIDE GUN" BEING MENTIONED IS CALLED AN M-44. IT IS ONLY LABELED FOR PROTECTING LIVESTOCK. IOW, you could be fined up to $4000 for EACH animal you kill.

It is very very easy to kill unintended animals with pesticides such as this. Birds, squirrels, the neighbor's inquisitive kid -- you never know.

Now if it was labeled a pesticide then that would be a TOTALLY different story. It's not my fault that I had to pour some fly bait into some Pepsi or grape jelly to keep the fly population down.
