And that's that.
I need to lose about 50lbs - or rather would really like to lose that.
At the current moment, exercise is well out of the question, and has been for a long time. I'm hoping eventually it will be an option.
I watch my portions. Still, nothing. I have normal thyroid function. Blood tests normal.
My killer I think is that I DON'T eat labeled foods. I don't own a food scale, and well, trying to figure out the calorie/fat/protien/carb/nutrition content to follow ANYTHING is about impossible when we eat venison, caught fish of random species, wild turkey, homegrown chickens, home grown frozen and canned veg, and stuff like that. Then, add the fact I make most meals from complete scratch - spaghetti might involve homemade noodles, sauce made from a jar of home canned tomatoes, onions and pepper, some wild morels, and a pound or so of venison. Usually make the bread too, with butter and garlic.
So I look at suggested diet plans. Where the heck are they getting this stuff and what in the name of all good are they paying for it? I won't buy tomatoes out of season (taste YUCK), and some of the things they suggest I've never even seen. I know my store doesn't carry jicama.
Doc says "hidden fat and sugar sources" are my downfall. She suggested weight watchers. My mom is a long time member, and she will take me to a meeting, but then suggested sparkpeople. I've tried sparkpeople, but I get so frustrated trying to track what I eat when it's not even in there, that I quit after a week.
I'm so freaking frustrated. If I could just walk, I would walk our road, it's safe and quiet. That is out of the question for a at least a few more weeks or months.
Ranting, but I'm just so unhappy about trying to figure this out
